April 28, 2012, marked the first-ever SSRD bout that featured ONLY the league's home-grown skaters! There wasn't a ring-in among the Dollys or the Charmers - and even our black and white heroes on Team Zebra were all our own!

The Dolly Rogers and the Cutthroat Charmers both lined up with new skaters, new skills, and a take-no-prisoners attitude - delivering a high-adrenalin and hard-hitting sporting spectacle!

Jam one of the RHYTHM AND BRUISE bout against VRDL’s Queen Bees, and Sirens jammer Em C Hammer shot to the front of the pack, taking lead jammer, chalking up four points, and calling the jam before VRDL’s Lucky Day could score.

It was just the first bout of the 2011 season, but it’s got South Sea Roller Derby league off to a blinding start in 2011.

A crowd of hundreds packed into Keysborough’s Springers Leisure Centre to see the Cutthroat Charmers take on the Dolly Rogers. And what they got was a night of hard skating, big hits, and even bigger personalities!
